Clarence Gallagher was the caretaker of a historical cabin on the Sumas Prairie (Abbotsford, BC). In my fourth year of art studies at Trinity Western University I inquired about the history of this building, and was connected with Clarence. From 2020 to 2023 I documented our visits together at his cabin and later at his home in North Vancouver; as an intern for the Heritage Abbotsford Society I interviewed Clarence on the topic of his historical cabin shortly before he passed in July, 2023.
